Despite a diploma in Fine Arts from Dawson College and a BFA from Concordia University, I consider myself to be a largely self-taught artist (my art education was big on theory, less so on the acquisition of any actual skills – it was the early 90’s, after all). Luckily for me, those pieces of paper got me a spot in Sheridan College’s Computer Animation program. From there I toiled away as a 3D animator for film and television for the next decade (watch my demo reel here). Taking time out to start a family, I realized that I actually really missed making art – and also, that I didn’t really remember how to do it. When not busy at work as a Lead Animator, I am essentially teaching myself all the practical art skills that I never learned the first time around – or just clean forgot. My husband and kids are patient and supportive (mostly), and I believe them when they say they like what I paint. My house is in perpetual disarray.
I live and work in Montreal, Canada.
